Summer is here, the kids are home, and I have been busy. So busy that in order to spend time in the studio, I am now getting up early to head out to the cabin before the kids roll out of bed. The only company I have there, are the 2 lovely hummingbirds who frequent my little feeder, the newly visiting gold finch and mate, and as always, our farm cats who act like they are completely attention deprived (I'm not fooled though). It's so quiet, and peaceful,it's truly a wonderful way to start the day. I look forward to this morning routine, and hope that it will prove to be productive.
Among the various pieces I'm working on each morning, I thought I would share with you a recent white on white pastel painting. Just as a side note, I am far from finished and it is not easy for me to share the in between stages. They can have an amateur look to them. Hopefully you will walk away with the appreciation of the stages that I work through, and some technical tips.
If you're in the Edmonton area, please stop by and say hi. I would love to meet you!
